Our downtown space features interactive permanent and temporary exhibits, including more than 650 preserved bird-skin specimens and art installations by local artists.

Get inspired by the fascinating world of birds during one of our programs. Many activities including our weekly Lunch and Learn and monthly Social Hour are free and open to all. Adult classes, guest speakers, and children’s activities, are other fun ways to deepen your knowledge about birds and the natural world.

Birds Connect Seattle is located in the heart of downtown Seattle in the Denny Triangle neighborhood at 616 Olive Way, Seattle, WA 98101.
Our ground floor retail, exhibits, and restrooms are ADA accessible, as are the third floor conference rooms used for classes, meetings, and events.

Tuesday – Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Administrative (by email, phone, and appointment)
Monday – Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Closed annually on the following holidays:
New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, July 4th, Labor Day, Indigenous Peoples’ Day, Thanksgiving Day and the day following, and the week between Christmas Eve and New Year’s Day.

Lightrail ($3.00): Westlake Station services the heart of downtown and is just a few blocks from Birds Connect Seattle. As you depart the Lightrail station, follow station signage to Exit A1: 5th Ave & Pine.
Monorail ($3.50): Westlake Center Station (terminus) is a 5 minute / 0.2 mile walk.
Take the Bus
The neighborhood is serviced by bus lines: 1, 2, 4, 5, 13, 24, 28, 33, 62, E Line. Visit Sound Transit trip planner to find routes and timetables.

If traveling southbound on I-5 follow signage exit 165B for Union St. Follow 6th Ave to Olive Way.
If traveling northbound on I-5 follow signage for exit 165 for Seneca St. Follow 6th Ave to Olive Way.

Ride a Bike
Public bike racks are available directly outside the entrance in front of Cafe Umbria, or across the street and visitble from the windows in front of Pacific Place. Please bring your own lock for your bicycle. Many Sound Transit stations also offer bicycle and scooter storage options.
